This small Languedoc town borders the Canal du Midi, a few kilometres from the historic centre of Béziers. It is the starting point ideal for boat trips on the canal. There is a floating tourist office, installed in an old gabare.
Don’t miss the visit of the church Saint-Etienne de Villeneuve from the campsite, as well as the tower of the castle. Villeneuve-lès-Béziers is the ideal destination if you feel like eating at the terrace of a waterside restaurant. From Villeneuve, it is also possible to hire electric or thermal boats to sail autonomously on the canal.
The Ecocanal agency offers 5-seater or 7-seater boats, without a licence, to rent for one hour, two hours, half a day or a whole day. Bicycles are also available for rent to extend the banks of the Canal du Midi from Villeneuve-lès-Béziers to the heart of Béziers.
